Purpose of the Role

As part of the company's succession planning, we are seeking a Quality & Safety professional to oversee our QA and Safety Management Systems - initially as a deputy to the QAS Manager. This role supports our business objectives, maintains regulatory compliance, facilitates continuous improvement and fosters a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and align Quality, Safety, and Business Management Systems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, ISO9001, and other certifications
  • Develop, review, and maintain SOPs, SOGs, safety documentation, and training materials
  • Coordinate incident and accident investigations
  • Supervise the QA & Safety team
  • Maintain hazard and risk registers and report safety-related data
  • Conduct audits of maintenance facilities, contractors, and internal systems
  • Formulate and implement QA policies to support aviation approvals and certifications
  • Promote quality and safety awareness across the company
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required

Qualifications:

  • Formal qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent
  • Experience in team management – preferably in a Safety & Quality environment
  • Quality audit qualifications and/or equivalent experience

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Proven QA and Safety experience, preferably in an aviation environment
  • Knowledge of CASA and/or FAA regulations and aviation quality standards

  • Attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Commercial awareness and ability to align QAS principles with business outcomes
