About the Role:
This permanent, full-time role based in Sydney CBD sits within the company's Global Communications function - a team of 8 with 2 regional counterparts.
As the APAC Communications Lead, you'll take ownership of the full communications lifecycle - from external corporate visibility and media relations through to reputation management, social media, executive visibility, internal messaging, and employee engagement.
You'll collaborate closely with global team, shaping communication strategies across APAC markets and ensuring global alignment. This role suits a communications professional who's both strategic and hands-on, capable of setting direction while executing with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the annual communications strategy for APAC.
- Lead both internal and external communications, ensuring cohesive messaging across regions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets (print and online) to drive positive and consistent brand coverage.
- Pitch stories, draft press materials, and manage media enquiries.
- Support senior leaders with media engagement and oversee crisis communications when required.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage to measure impact and inform future strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and global communications teams to deliver consistent, impactful messaging across all channels.
About You:
- Experience in corporate communications, ideally within a global organisation or PR agency within financial services, investments or similar.
- Skilled across media relations, reputation management, and content creation.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and ability to influence senior leaders.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills with a clear, engaging style.
- Confident balancing strategy and execution in a fast-paced environment.
- APAC communications experience highly regarded.
