Overview As a Software Trainer / Consultant at Point of Rental Software, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers are confident, capable, and successful in using our products. Reporting to the CEX Director, this position is central to our Australasian operations and is ideal for a proactive professional who loves helping people, solving problems, and building strong relationships. This role combines technical expertise, business understanding, and exceptional communication skills to deliver high-quality software implementations and training for both new and existing customers. You will provide training both onsite and remotely, guiding customers through best practices and helping them maximise value from our software solutions. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage new customer implementations, ensuring smooth onboarding and successful go-live outcomes.

  • Conduct training sessions (onsite and remote) for new and existing customers across all product areas, with a focus on effective system use and business alignment.

  • Evaluate customer knowledge levels and identify training needs to ensure skill gaps are addressed.

  • Prepare and develop instructional materials, including training manuals, online tutorials, guides, and visual aids.

  • Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, and process reviews to help customers improve operational efficiency using Point of Rental software.

  • Continuously assess and refine training programs to maintain high-quality standards and effectiveness.

  • Support the internal Support and Implementation teams through knowledge sharing and competency development.

  • Stay up to date with new product releases, hire industry trends, and evolving customer needs.

  • Create and maintain end-user documentation such as release notes, upgrade guides, training videos, and user manuals.

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers post-implementation to ensure ongoing satisfaction and engagement.

Qualifications & Experience (Preferred)
  • Proven experience as a software trainer, consultant, or in a similar customer-facing technology role.

  • Experience in or strong understanding of the hire or rental industry.

  • Background in software implementation, support, or account management.

  • Basic project management experience — planning, scheduling, and coordinating customer projects.

  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to relate system functionality to real-world business outcomes.

  • Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, marketing, IT, or a related field (postgraduate preferred).

  Job Type: Full Time, Salary. The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $110,000 per year.
