With over 1,200 employees across 3 manufacturing sites, 29 service branches, and dedicated engineering design and fabrication facilities, we're setting the standard for innovation and reliability.
About the Role
We're looking for a driven and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Townsville branch operations. This is a key leadership role with the opportunity to make a real impact—driving operational excellence, fostering a culture of safety and high performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the branch.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the branch, including team development, service delivery, customer satisfaction, and financial outcomes. Your focus will be on creating a safe, productive, and engaged work environment while ensuring commercial targets are met and exceeded.
We're after a hands-on, strategic leader who brings strong business acumen and a proactive approach to managing people, resources, and customer relationships. You'll play a vital role in identifying opportunities for growth, improving operational processes, and building a strong, high-performing team committed to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities are:
Operational Leadership & Performance
- Lead and oversee all aspects of branch operations, implement and drive company-wide and branch-specific initiatives to improve operational efficiency and service delivery
- Monitor and report on branch performance metrics (KPIs) monthly and year-to-date, identifying areas for improvement
People & Culture
- Provide day-to-day support, direction, and mentoring to team members to foster a high-performance and accountable culture
- Champion a proactive safety-first mindset, ensuring full compliance with workplace health and safety standards
- Oversee workforce planning and resource allocation to optimise staff utilisation and meet service demands
- Lead by example to promote continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development
Customer & Quality Management
- Ensure service quality standards are consistently met or exceeded in line with company and client expectations
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, managing key accounts and ensuring high levels of satisfaction
- Respond to client needs with agility while identifying opportunities to improve service and add value
Business Growth & Financial Oversight
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities to grow the branch's customer base and market presence
- Manage the branch budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting to support profitability
- Lead business planning activities to ensure alignment with regional and corporate objectives
Asset & Compliance Management
- Ensure branch assets are well-maintained, operationally ready, and compliant with all relevant regulations and company policies
- Oversee adherence to quality assurance processes and safety protocols across all operations
About You
You're an experienced professional with a strong background in conveyor systems and service management, particularly in the mining and resource sector. Over the years, you've built deep technical knowledge in areas like belt maintenance, splicing, rubber lining, and lagging, and you understand both underground and open-cut mining operations inside and out.
You've led teams, managed large commercial accounts, and worked across fast-paced, high-pressure environments where meeting tight deadlines is the norm. You know how to spot growth opportunities and act on them, and you're comfortable handling the financial side of things—whether that's budgeting, forecasting, or managing project costs.
Your leadership experience is backed by a mix of technical and business qualifications—whether that's a diploma in mechanical engineering, a relevant trade qualification, or further studies in business, commerce, or logistics. You're also well-versed in OH&S legislation, quality assurance systems, and relevant Australian standards, giving you a strong foundation to lead safely and effectively.
Organised, proactive, and a strong communicator, you bring both strategic thinking and hands-on know-how to the team you lead.
