Volt Edge has an opportunity available for a HR Manager to take the highly successful business Volt Edge to a whole new level. These things always work better when you have some skin in the game.
Our Company
Volt Edge is one of the largest privately owned Electrical RTOs in Australia. We believe that our strong culture has been a dominating factor in our business's success. We offer a stimulating work environment that rewards performance and outcomes whilst supporting growth and professional development. The business is growing at 29% per annum.
We conduct Electrical & Safety Training (RTO#32137) at multiple training centres across Australia. We have been in business for more than 16 years and are in an expansion phase. Currently we have 6 Managers and 22 Admin/Traner Staff of varying roles with multiple contract and part time trainers and assessors.
We operate Nationally across all states with our Training facilities in 3 of those states.

To be the best Electrical Training organisation in Australia. To assist students and clients with their electrical training needs, providing excellent customer service and making their learning journey as seamless as possible from start to finish.
Our Team Purpose
We provide efficient quality service and clear communication to ensure the best training outcomes for our students. Our team provides administration support to the business from enquiries, through enrolment and support, to finalising training and issuing outcomes.
Via compliant practices our team works calmly, efficiently and responds quickly to requests for support. We display a positive attitude, flexibility and provide extra help wherever possible in our student training journey.
We answer phone calls with in 24 Hours, we answer the phone during business hours in less that 3 rings and respond to emails with in 24 Hrs. We are leaders in our niche market and are proud of this.
The Role
As our HR Manager, you will bring your (previously demonstrated) experience and knowledge and be pivotal in shaping our current and future business.
Will need to assess training needs of our team, suggest possible learning alternatives to get the best out of our people.
Managing HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
The role reports directly to the Managing Director (Owner).
This is a Senior position and has a seat on the Executive group meetings.
The Manager of People and Culture will be a key part of the leadership team, operating in a fast paced environment, focusing on growth and driving a positive organisational culture
Key Accountabilities:
· Lead talent acquisition, retention, and development programs to attract and nurture top talent.
· Implement best-practice HR policies and compliance frameworks in line with Australian employment laws.
· Oversee employee engagement programs, ensuring a positive work environment and high levels of satisfaction.
· Drive leadership development and succession planning to support business growth.
· Manage performance management and career progression frameworks to empower employees.
· Enhance workplace culture and employer branding to position Volt Edge as an employer of choice.
· Implement best-practice HR policies and compliance frameworks in line with Australian employment laws.
· Oversee HR operations, including remuneration, benefits, and workplace health & safety policies.
· Maintain good relations through employee contracts, through good communication and realistic goals.
· Monitor employee efficiency and report to the executive issues and improvements.
- Improve the teams performance by recommending training and other improvements to the employees in the workplace.
- Lead by example, to be always courteous and accommodating and polite with interaction with Students, staff and other Managers.
- Create and be responsible for a happiness score measured regularly from our team.
- Report any issues concerning teamwork or reputation issues directly to the Managing Director.
- Create, prioritise, and execute roadmap of initiatives for operational improvements with the business.
- Hold personnel accountability of deliverables occur in a timely fashion.
ABOUT YOU…
- At least 5 years' experience with a proven track record of your (demonstrated) knowledge managing teams of people and motivating teams to excel (Mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience managing teams of 10 or more people is required for this role.
· Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
- Having a strong encouraging likable personality with emphasis on communication.
- Working knowledge of Human Resources and employment operations of a business.
- Having an RTO training background would be highly regarded but not mandatory requirement for this role.
- Have an elevated level of computer literacy with experience implementing and operating business systems and processes.
- Be self-driven and motivated, delegation responsibility and ensuring accountability.
- Develop and improve processes with superior analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Present professionally, with genuine people and communication skills, easily building trust and rapport at all levels both inside and outside the business.
- Have excellent planning and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage your own work.
- Strong proven experience managing stakeholders in a highly professional manner.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills.
- Leadership experience.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Australian work rights are mandatory for this position.
