An exciting opportunity

Do you have a passion for residential design and love working directly with clients to bring their dream homes to life?

We are looking for a Design Manager to join the innovative modular home design & build company. This is a newly created mentorship role, offering the opportunity to shape the design experience.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the Design Process: Collaborate with clients to create stunning preliminary home designs that balance beauty, functionality, and our modular model frameworks.
  • Client Experience Champion: Guide clients through the design journey with empathy and professionalism, delivering a seamless and engaging customer experience from concept to sign-off.
  • Team Support: Manage and mentor a small drafting team (currently 3 drafters), fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Customisation & Variations: Work creatively within our modular systems to adapt and enhance designs, meeting client preferences without compromising build efficiency.
  • Quality Control: Ensure design documentation is accurate, consistent, and ready for build handover.

What you'll bring:

  • Design Qualifications in architecture, building design or related field (required).
  • QBCC Design licence (preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in REVIT (required).
  • Proven 5+ years' experience in residential design, ideally with exposure to modular, prefab or off-site construction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for making clients feel heard and inspired.
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team of designers/drafters.
  • A passion for innovation, detail, and quality design.
