Job Summary:
The Chef will play a key role in leading the kitchen team, preparing high-quality dishes that align with our standards and maintaining a seamless kitchen operation. This position requires a profound passion for Italian cuisine, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, creativity in menu development, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and execution of all menu items, ensuring consistency with the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- Supervise and mentor the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented in a timely manner and meet the highest quality standards.
- Oversee cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the management team to design and introduce new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Monitor inventory and manage kitchen supplies, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and maintaining stock levels.
- Maintain portion control, presentation specifications, and cost-effective kitchen operations.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients, maintaining freshness and quality.
- Continuously assess and improve kitchen workflows to enhance efficiency and service speed.
Requirements:
- Minimun 2 years of experience requirement in italian cuisine.
- Extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine, ingredients, and traditional cooking techniques.
- Proven experience in kitchen leadership, with the ability to train and supervise a team.
- Expertise in a wide range of cooking methods and proficiency with kitchen equipment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle high-pressure environments.
- Impeccable attention to detail, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, fostering collaboration within the kitchen team.
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations and a commitment to food safety.
- Creative flair for menu development and food presentation.
- Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of portion control.
