Position Overview

  • As a Business Development Representative for the Australian market, you will serve as the primary liaison for potential and existing clients in the region.
  • Your role will involve identifying new opportunities, building strong partnerships, and ensuring an exceptional brand experience for our collaborators in the evolving Australian fashion ecosystem.
  • This role requires strong sourcing experience (either on the product or design side) and familiarity with the apparel/fashion manufacturing industry.
  • Candidates must have experience working in companies with an annual turnover of at least USD 10 billion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new brand and sourcing partnerships within the Australian fashion industry.
  • Represent Brij Designs at relevant industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance visibility and build new connections.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, sourcing teams, and stakeholders.
  • Lead end-to-end deal cycles including pitching, negotiating, and closing.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market shifts to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, logistics) to ensure client requirements are delivered seamlessly.
  • Maintain regular reporting and sales pipeline updates to the Business Development Lead.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or B2B sales within the fashion or apparel manufacturing industry.
  • Proven sourcing experience (product or design side) in working with leading fashion brands or manufacturers.
  • Familiarity with the Australian fashion retail landscape, key players, and sourcing channels.
  • Experience working in companies with a turnover of at least USD 10 billion.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
