The Opportunity

As a result of continued growth and our 2026 Transformation goals, Real Pet Food (RPF) is excited to welcome a new Project Manager who's a real animal lover and ready to join our pack. Reporting to our Head of Brand Operations, you will be part of a team that actively makes our product development come to LIFE with new product development and packaging rebranding. Based in our Crows Nest Head Office, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery and coordination of New Product Development (NPD) and Packaging Refresh projects across multiple sites. This role involves working closely with various internal stakeholders including Marketing, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functions to ensure projects are completed within the specified time, cost, and quality parameters.

It goes without saying no two days are the same, but you are working with a team of people who are passionate about what they do (our Brand Operations team are AWESOME) and want you to be a part of their success.

In the last year, our Project Manager was integral in delivering the rebranding of Fussy Cat, renovation of Ivory Coat and was involved in the development and launch of a number of new and exciting dog treats.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute product development and commercialisation activities.
  • Set project scopes, goals, tasks, and resource requirements, managing timelines for key projects.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and contingency planning.
  • Ensure all projects are properly closed out with key learnings documented.
  • Communicate progress updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Act as the commercial representative for major Operations or Productivity cost-savings initiatives.
  • Be the SME of NPD process and Stage Gate methodology, enhancing and uplifting them for better efficiency
  • Proactively seek process improvements with the tools and processes you are a part of
  • Oversee and ensure clear accountability for key project deliverables, ensuring these are completed OTIF with the respective stakeholder's knowledge.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and risk management capabilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence, manage, and challenge the status quo.
  • Expert knowledge of the New Product Development process and ability to champion best practice
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
