Tim Davies Landscaping (TDL)are a premier landscape design, construct and maintain company in Western Australia that has been in the business for over 40 years. We have designed, constructed and maintained many of Western Australia's most iconic gardens. TDL now employs over 130 people on projects in Perth and the Southwest.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Landscape Architectural Draftsperson to join our award-winning Residential Design team. Working with our Landscape Design team servicing our exclusive residential clients, designing luxurious and functional outdoor spaces, you will play a key role throughout the design process producing X-ref drawings, planting plans, designing outdoor structures, take offs and producing construction sets. You will be the key point of contact for all submissions to council.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete X-refs and in collaboration with landscape designers, assist in preparing sketch and concepts plans.
  • Complete construction sets.
  • Effectively liaise with the client throughout the design process and participate in the handover to our internal Construction team.
  • Manage planning approvals and ensure timely project sign-offs.
  • Provide ongoing design advice during the construction phase, ensuring the seamless delivery of your vision.

What we're looking for:

  • Ideally, you will have at least 3+ years of relevant residential drafting experience.
  • Proficiency in various design software, in particular AutoCAD and SketchUp.
  • An ability to manage time effectively, stay focused, and meet deadlines.
  • Must display strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Knowledge of the construction process and planning approvals process would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of Australian standards, developer requirements and NCC (including keeping up to date with relevant changes).
