Asbestos Response provides urgent asbestos testing and make-safe services across Queensland and Northern NSW. From the Sunshine Coast to Townsville and beyond, we respond to storm, flood, and insurance jobs with speed, professionalism, and care.

We are seeking a legendary Administration Officer to join our Maleny office. This role is central to our operations — you'll be the first point of contact for incoming work orders, responsible for allocating technicians, and ensuring every job runs smoothly from start to finish.


About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and processing incoming purchase orders and job requests via email and phone.
  • Creating, updating, and tracking jobs across ServiceM8, job registers, and to-do lists.
  • Scheduling and allocating technicians based on location, availability, and equipment.
  • Communicating with insurance supervisors, tenants, trades, and private clients to provide updates and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Assisting with preparation of reports, quotes, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate digital records across Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Supporting the office team and Director with day-to-day admin tasks.

This is a fast-paced role with lots of moving parts — perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, coordinating people, and keeping operations running smoothly.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven administration or scheduling experience (construction/insurance industry experience highly regarded).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when handling job data and reports.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Experience with ServiceM8 (not required but highly regarded).
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Pet-friendly — our German Shepherd office dog is part of the crew .
