About the Role

Join BallyCara's Village Team as an Emergency Response Officer and make a genuine difference every day. You'll be the first responder when residents need assistance, providing reassurance, care, and support to help them live safely and confidently at home.

The Details

  • This is a Casual role with varying shifts across 7 days (early and late shifts)
  • Based at our vibrant Village of Friends in Scarborough
  • Supportive team culture, meaningful work, and opportunities for growth

What You'll Do

  • Respond promptly to emergency call activations from residents
  • Provide first aid and basic medical assistance as required
  • Support residents in maintaining independence and safety
  • Deliver compassionate, hands-on assistance
  • Maintain accurate incident and handover documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the Emergency Response Team
  • Ensure emergency equipment is maintained and ready for use
  • Promote safety, wellbeing, and person-centred care

What You'll Bring

  • Availability to work on a casual basis, including early and late shifts across a 7-day roster
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or Individual Support (essential)
  • Experience or knowledge in emergency response or first aid
  • Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
  • Current First Aid & CPR, Police Check, and Driver's Licence
