**Description**:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Village Officer (Lifestyle) to join our Retirement Village (the Village of Friends). Based in Scarborough, this is a part time position responsible for the planning and delivery of the 'Village of Friends' event programs that support wellness, foster inclusion, create memorable experiences for our Residents and bring awareness to external stakeholders about who we are as an Organsiation.

We are looking for someone with a genuine love of people and planning of events. Reporting to the Village General Manager, you will be joining a welcoming, fun and professional team who is passionate about the aged care community, our Residents and our employees.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Demonstrated experience in events management and/or project management to enable the effective scheduling and delivery of events both onsite and external to the Village
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders that are respectful and have a foundation of trust
- Strong organisational skills to carry out the planning, implementation and analysis of activities, functions, and events
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable the positive and compelling promotion of all lifestyle activities so as to maximise attendance and positive feedback.
- Experience managing budgets
- Hold current National Police Check clearance or have the ability to obtain one through BallyCara processes
- Current and valid First Aid and CPR certificates
- Proof of COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations
- Current Australian Driver's License.

Desirable
- Previous experience in a Retirement Living and/or Aged Care setting.
- A Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
