The opportunity

Commercial Aquatics Australia (Vic) have a rare vacancy in our Construction team in the role of Project Manager in a full-time permanent capacity. Applicants with Aquatic, Hydraulic/Mechanical Plumbing or Landscape Construction experience is highly desirable.

In the role of Project Manager, you will administer contracts and oversee projects to ensure they run efficiently across all phases of the project lifecycle. Building on your experience in construction or a relevant field, you'll work closely with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to plan and coordinate activities, manage project finances, and maintain accurate documentation. Your focus will be on delivering projects safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities include: -

  • Manage multiple aquatic projects from design to handover.
  • Oversee contracts, project programs and manage budgets.
  • Develop and maintain the construction program in liaison with the Managing Director.
  • Manage the procurement and negotiation of supplier and subcontract packages.
  • Control project finances, including invoicing, progress claims, variations, and reporting.
  • Support estimating, and tendering activities.
  • Project reporting and forecasting.

To be considered for this role candidates must hold the following: -

  • 3+ years of Project Coordinator or Contract Administrator experience.
  • Experience in project delivery is essential.
  • Experience in Aquatic, Hydraulic/Mechanical Plumbing or Landscape Construction is desirable.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A current Driver's License.
  • Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Construction induction card or willingness to obtain one.
  • Full Australian working rights is required.
