About the Job

Join a leading, privately-owned investment company and play a key role in supporting our Finance Manager, Management Team, and investors across our Licensee, Companies, and Property Trusts.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, payment processing, reporting, and compliance. You'll be an important part of a small, high-performing finance team that values accuracy, timeliness, and collaboration.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll manage a mix of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual responsibilities, including:

  • Preparing accurate monthly financial reports (by the 18th of each month).
  • Uploading and processing Licensee and Trust payments.
  • Reconciling bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Assisting with Trust distributions and compliance obligations.
  • Supporting property reporting and liaising with Fund and Property Managers.
  • Assisting with BAS, ASIC lodgements, debt facility reviews, and year-end audits.
  • Maintaining asset registers and supporting investor financial packs.
  • Providing ad hoc support, including new Trust set-up, term deposit rollovers, and finance policy updates.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who has:

  • 3–5 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting (fund accounting experience is highly regarded).
  • A strong understanding of accounting standards.
  • High proficiency in Xero and intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently, problem-solve, and take initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
  • A Bachelor degree in Commerces, majoring in Accounting or related field is required. Studying CPA, CA (desirable)

Experience with investment funds, unit trusts, or managed investment schemes will be highly regarded.
