The role

You will provide Positive Behaviour Support across community settings. Typical work includes:

  • Perform functional behaviour assessments to understand the causes and triggers of challenging behaviours
  • Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans aligned with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
  • Help participants develop emotional regulation, communication, and daily living skills to increase independence
  • Coaching and training for participants, families, support workers, and providers
  • Collaboration to implement least restrictive strategies and monitor outcomes
  • Authorisation processes for any regulated restrictive practices and timely plan reviews
  • Clear progress reporting against NDIS goals

What you will need

  • Relevant tertiary qualification such as Psychology, ABA, Social Work, Special Education, or similar
  • Registration or provisional suitability with the NDIS Commission Practitioner Capability Framework
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Police Check within 6 months
  • Driver licence and reliable insured vehicle
  • Experience writing BSPs and leading capability building is desirable
