About the role:

We are currently looking for reliable, compassionate, and values-driven individuals to join our growing team as Casual Disability Support Workers in the Casey/Cardinia area and Bayside region—including Clayton South, Narre Warren, and Pakenham. As a Disability Support Worker, you'll work in a range of settings including community programs, in-home care, and overnight respite (sleepovers).

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting people with community access, social engagement, and daily routines.
  • Providing in-home support such as personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and companionship.
  • Assisting with overnight respite care, including active or sleepover shifts, maintaining a safe and supportive environment throughout the night.
  • Managing mobility needs, medication administration, and transport assistance.
  • Responding to behaviours of concern with empathy and professionalism.
  • Accurately completing documentation using basic computer systems.

What we are looking for:

  • Available and dependable – Regular availability for weekdays, weekends, evenings, and overnight (sleepover) shifts is essential.
  • Looking for long-term casual work – This role is best suited to those who want to grow and stay within the disability support sector.
  • Flexible and proactive – Willing to travel between sites or support people in their homes across different suburbs.
  • Empathetic and adaptable – Able to respond calmly and confidently in various support scenarios.
  • Team-oriented – Committed to working respectfully and collaboratively with others.

Role Requirements

  • Experience is not essential—we will provide training—but you must have or be willing to obtain:
  • Level 2 First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, National Police Check, and Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Why work for us?

  • Supportive culture – Be part of a team that values your growth and wellbeing.
  • Ongoing training – Develop your skills with continued professional development.
  • Fair pay – Competitive hourly rates aligned with the SCHADS Industry Award 2010.
  • Make an impact – Support people in meaningful ways and help build inclusive communities.

Pre-employment requirements:

  • National Police Check
  • Pre-employment medical assessment and drug test
  • Random drug and alcohol testing post-employment
