The role
As an OT, you will provide assessment and intervention in home and community environments. Typical work includes:
- Functional capacity assessments and goal based therapy
- Assistive technology assessment, trials, and reports including low risk and complex items
- Home safety assessments and minor home modification recommendations
- Skill building for ADLs and IADLs including sensory and executive functioning supports
- Clear reports and progress updates for NDIS plans
- Collaboration with participants, families, support coordinators, and allied health colleagues
What you will need
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA registration
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Police Check within 6 months
- Driver licence and reliable insured vehicle
- Experience with NDIS functional assessments and AT is desirable
