Support Type: Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)/Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Shift Style: Monday to Friday (38-hour week)

Reports To: Operations Manager 24/7 Services

The Bridge is seeking a dynamic SIL Services Lead to oversee three Supported Independent Living (SIL) services on one site, supporting 7 participants and leading a team of 12+ staff.

This is a key leadership role focused on operational oversight, staff capability, and service quality—ensuring supports are safe, responsive, and aligned with NDIS Practice Standards.

About You:

Proven experience in disability services, ideally in SIL or residential settings

Strong leadership skills

Deep understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and person-centred support

Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills

Confident in documentation, compliance, and staff development

Experience with rostering and participant management systems (e.g., SupportAbility, Folio)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead day-to-day operations of three SDA/SIL units

Manage rosters, workforce planning, and shift coverage

Supervise and mentor support staff, fostering a positive and accountable team culture

Drive participant goal-setting, documentation, and engagement

Ensure compliance with NDIS and internal policies

Conduct audits, risk assessments, and service reviews

Collaborate with families, stakeholders, and allied health professionals

Contribute to service development and innovation initiatives

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Certificate IV or higher in Disability or a social service/health related course is essential.
  • Current First Aid, CPR and Manual Handling certificates
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Employment Working with Children Check
  • Current and valid Victorian driver's licence.
  • Flexibility and adaptability are critical in this role.
  • A well-developed ability to problem solve; think creatively and work safely
  • Ability to remain calm and seek appropriate support and guidance when required.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Good computer literacy skills, including the use of MS Office, Client Management Systems, and other applications.
  • Being passionate about helping people and providing support
  • Current and valid Victorian driver's licence.
