Join a large-scale digital infrastructure transformation shaping the future of Brisbane's rail network. This $5.4B program is delivering cutting-edge signalling technology, new underground stations, and system upgrades to enhance capacity and connectivity across Southeast Queensland.
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer with deep expertise in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using the One Identity suite. You'll work within an established design to implement, validate, and secure integration across complex Operational Technology (OT) systems.
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cyber security controls that safeguard vital rail systems. The ideal candidate will bring comprehensive knowledge of security engineering practices and a passion for protecting operational technology environments.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and validate PAM and MFA solutions (One Identity).
Integrate cybersecurity controls into OT systems and signalling platforms.
Collaborate with cybersecurity and engineering teams for secure deployment.
Maintain comprehensive technical and lifecycle documentation.
Design and deploy cyber security solutions tailored to complex rail systems.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend security improvements to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into engineering processes.
Monitor security incidents and assist in incident response efforts to minimize impact.
Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices to enhance security posture.
Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with One Identity tools (Safeguard, Defender, etc.).
Proven track record implementing PAM/MFA in OT or hybrid environments.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and system engineering lifecycles.
Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills.
This role is key to advancing cyber resilience within critical transport infrastructure and offers challenging work in a stimulating and supportive environment.
