The Gig
Ovolo Hotels has an excitingly opportunity for an experienced Director of Sales & MICE to come on-board with us. This dynamic role will be the key driver in developing and implementing sales action plans, set to increase market share from existing clients and generate new business opportunities.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage a portfolio of sales accounts and partnerships in collaboration with the hotel HOD's to develop and drive sales strategies. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Execute sales strategies for Hotels within region across corporate, conference & events, and groups
- Work collaboratively with Region Revenue Manager to research and analyse product, price, and performance metrics of the competitive sets, to drive above market performance through identification of opportunities
- Represent Ovolo by attending industry networking events and key tradeshows
- Liaise with all regional tourism bodies from the region as the secondary point of sales contact
- Actively participate in the preparation of annual room revenue
- Establish a high profile across the region with key accounts and hospitality industry
- Maintain a comprehensive level of property product knowledge and actively sell all attributes of Ovolo Hotels , including Food and Beverage offerings
About You
At Ovolo, we are all about YOU. You will have a strong understanding of hotel market segments and current trends and experience in development and execution of sales strategies at individual property or regional level. You will preferably have a bachelor's degree in hospitality, business, marketing or something similar; as well as confidence, communication, negotiation and networking skills. Most importantly, you will be FABULOUS. UNCONVENTIONAL. and NEVER BORING.
