The Role

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager – Service and based in Cairns, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and generating new business opportunities, opening doors for service, maintenance and project opportunities in NQ, FNQ and NT region, and fostering existing service relationships, while maximizing sales in the Service Division. Some of the key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Generation of new business opportunities focusing on Service maintenance contracts
  • Support the Account Management team in maximizing sales opportunities within our existing client and service base as required.
  • Work alongside location-based Service Managers to identify opportunities in existing base
  • Assist Account Managers in competitive contract renewals where and when required
  • Identify which segments of the Service business that VAE can successfully compete, and then target this market, the market stakeholders and influencers
  • Proactively look for "Smarter HVAC Solutions" to differentiate ourselves in the market
  • Develop relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that VAE are obtaining competitive prices and market feedback
