About the role

As the Transport Coordinator at Glenwood Logistics Pty Ltd t/as Adelaide Contract Warehousing, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective coordination of the company's transportation operations. This is a full-time position based in Regency Park, SA 5010. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of goods and materials to our clients, contributing to the overall success of the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement transportation strategies to optimise delivery routes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
  • Manage and coordinate the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and deployed effectively
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatch of delivery drivers, ensuring timely and reliable service to clients
  • Monitor and analyse transportation data to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate solutions
  • Liaise with clients to understand their transportation needs and expectations, and ensure they are met
  • Comply with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Supervise and mentor a team of logistics and transportation specialists

What we're looking for

  • Significant experience (3+ years) in a transport or logistics coordinator's role, preferably within the warehousing and distribution industry
  • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, fleet management, and logistics best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically
  • Proficient in using transportation management software and data analysis tools
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • A proven track record of driving operational efficiency and cost savings
  • A valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain any necessary transportation certifications
  • Immediate start
