Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the role is responsible for:

  • Managing the Accounts Payable inbox;
  • Process weekly payment;
  • Credit card and general expense management;
  • Update and manage the Fixed Asset Register and create journals for monthly depreciation;
  • Prepare quarterly BAS supporting documents for submission;
  • Update and prepare information and supporting documents for FBT file;
  • New customer setup checklist and creating new customer accounts;
  • Create settlement invoice;
  • Monthly settlement reconciliation;
  • Finance documents monthly filling;
  • Assist with the completion and processing of month end reporting;
  • Assist with month end processing and posting inter-company journals;
  • Support the preparation of financial statements;
  • Liaise with Company Accountants as required;
  • Other ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Local qualifications in Finance, Economics or related, ideally working towards CA or CPA will be looked upon highly.
  • Ideally 1-2 years of Finance and Accounting experience.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • Permanent resident visa holder or Australian citizen.
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal & written) with the desire to actively collaborate with multiple departments.
  • Familiarity with current AU/NZ Accounting principles.
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office suite.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic, driven, and open to changing priorities.
  • Can work independently as well as in a team.
  • Prior experience in a Junior or Assistant Accountant role.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Previous experience using ERP systems would be advantageous but not essential.

Please note:

  • This role can be located in either Sydney CBD or Melbourne CBD.
  • Attached Youtube video is a demonstration of one of Dahua's major land development projects, it's not the location of the office.
  • This is a fixed-term role till end of 2026, with potential to convert to a permanent role, subject to business needs.
