Clinical Nurse – Macleay Ward

Your new role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse to join our team on Macleay Ward, providing advanced nursing care and clinical leadership across Bayside Health Service.

  • Deliver high-level clinical care for patients with complex medical needs, including geriatric and palliative care.
  • Provide clinical leadership, mentoring, and support to nursing and healthcare teams.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, education, research, and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Coordinate care delivery and assist in managing ward operations in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager.

About you:

You are a dedicated and compassionate nurse who thrives in a team environment and is committed to providing person-centred care. You will bring:

  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills in general medicine, acute/chronic care, or geriatric medicine.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to coordinate shifts and mentor staff.
  • Commitment to professional development, continuous improvement, and upholding Metro South Health values.
