Operational Support Officer
Location : Wollongong, Australia
Description
As an Operational Support Officer, you will support the delivery of superannuation services by performing a range of administrative and operational tasks.
This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in superannuation administration, including recent graduates.
Job specification
Perform and coordinate a variety of administrative tasks across superannuation operations
Maintain adviser records and process fees in accordance with Apex procedures
Execute ATO-mandated tasks including Unclaimed Super Monies and Lost Member processing
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support platform enhancements
Investigate and resolve exceptions to ensure service delivery meets quality, SLA, and compliance standards
Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to processes and systems
Support reporting activities and contribute to service performance assessments
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
Skills Required:
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve issues
Understanding of superannuation administration processes (preferred)
Ability to work effectively within a team and with external stakeholders
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving ability
Prior experience in superannuation or financial services (preferred but not essential)
Formal superannuation qualifications or willingness to complete RG146 within 12 months
Familiarity with superannuation technology platforms (e.g. Acurity) is advantageous
Commitment to delivering high-quality client service
Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
