About the Role
As aCards & Payments Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth processing of card and payment operations across IMB’s network. You’ll be responsible for delivering efficient, accurate, and compliant support to both internal teams and our members.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience inbanking operations, payments, or card administration— or a strong customer service professional ready to take the next step into financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and manage daily card and payment operations, including:
- Payment processing, exceptions and investigations
- Dispute management and resolution
- Support with card-related admin tasks
- Support internal teams and branches by providing accurate information and timely assistance
- Resolve member and operational issues promptly, escalating where appropriate
- Adhere to IMB’s policies, procedures, and compliance obligations
- Contribute to departmental goals, continuous improvement projects, and system enhancements
- Participate in team meetings, training, and cross-skilling initiatives.
About You
- Upbeat, positive and a can-do approach to work and contributing as a team in a fast-changing environment
- Detail oriented problem solver with a strong customer focus
- Experience in a customer service or operations role, working to tight deadlines
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office and online systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work methodically through high volumes of work
- Strong numeric accuracy and data entry skills
- Some knowledge of card and payment schemes including rules and regulations applicable to processing, disputes and investigations would be advantageous
- The willingness to learn, embrace new things, take initiative and support continuous improvement by identifying areas for improvement and automation.
