Finance Branch provides advice to operational managers on purchasing and fleet management, manages accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and asset records, coordinates remote area housing, consolidates budgets, maintains core financial software that is shared by all parts of the Department, and produces management, tax and statutory reports.
We currently have an opportunity for an Accountant to join our team.
Under the direction of the Manager Corporate Budgeting and Reporting, this position:
- Undertakes preparation of budget estimates and statements for entities within the group.
- Undertakes preparation of statutory information required by Treasury for the group.
- Prepares financial reports for the Corporate Executive.
- Maintains and reconciles financial statements for parties within the group with Treasury's Strategic Information Management System.

Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three (3) pages in total.
- Demonstrated experience in reporting and consolidation accounting, with some experience in asset accounting and taxation.
- Proven experience in preparing management and statutory reports.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills, including experience in extracting and analysing data from financial information systems.
