About the role

Optima Partners is seeking experienced an Accountant to join our growing team in Osborne Park. As a full-time Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting services to our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements.
  • Preparation tax returns for all types of entities (ie company, trust, partnership, individual).
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements.
  • Working with the Director and Manager on matters regarding clients.

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a professional practice in Australia
  • Completed, commenced or intention to commence CA or CPA qualification would be highly regarded
  • Experience with the preparation of tax returns, business activity statements and financial statement preparation, analysis and reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills·
  • XERO Practice Manager and Workpaper experience would be highly regarded
  • Experience with at least two cloud and desktop accounting packages – eg XERO, MYOB, Intuit QBO etc would be advantageous
