About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, we are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our client's finance team on a 6-month fixed term contract working standard business hours from 9am – 5pm. You'll be working within a supportive and collaborative finance team, contributing to key reporting cycles and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on role that offers exposure to both transactional and management accounting activities, with the opportunity to add value during a critical period for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end accounting processes, including preparing and posting accruals and reviewing liability schedules to ensure accurate and timely close.
  • Take responsibility for assigned balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Contributing to monthly forecasting by gathering data, reviewing assumptions, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Preparation of annual and periodic budgets through data collation, reconciliation, and monitoring.
  • Provide support on ad hoc accounting tasks and projects as required.

About You

  • CPA or CA qualified, or currently working towards completion (highly desirable)
  • Strong practical accounting experience is essential
  • Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
