Position: Senior Assistant Accountant

Location: New Farm, Brisbane

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and deliver accurate weekly KPI and performance reports
  • Manage payroll administration on a weekly basis
  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions
  • Review and correct team errors to ensure financial accuracy
  • Complete statutory lodgements and month-end processes including reconciliations and P&L analysis
  • Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and manage intercompany accounts
  • Analyse purchasing behaviour and KPIs to identify trends, risks, or potential fraud
  • Respond to internal and external stakeholder inquiries
  • Support financial benchmarking and analysis of network performance
  • Assist with additional administrative and financial duties as directed by the Finance Manager and CFO
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting roles
  • Proficiency in Xero is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll laws; experience with TANDA is highly regarded
  • Familiarity with both state and federal statutory requirements
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
