About us
The Therapy Place is a private paediatric practice. Our client base ranges in age from 0-18 years with a wide variety of developmental needs. We are a multi-disciplinary clinic consisting of speech therapists, occupational therapists and dietitians who pride ourselves on putting our families first. Our two AHA's support therapy staff with making resources and assisting in sessions. We also have a great administration team to support with payments, phone calls and bookings. Our warehouse space has been turned into a gigantic sensory/therapy gym which all therapists make use of.
We are seeking a Speech Therapy Team Leader with 8 years+ in the area of paediatrics to guide our team of 6 speech pathologists. Your role will be a mix of team leadership and managing your own caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor your team: Support your colleagues to achieve their professional goals, elevate their skills, and confidently navigate challenges.
- Champion clinical excellence: Provide leadership and guidance to ensure high-quality, evidence-based therapy that makes a difference in the lives of the children we see.
- Collaborate with leadership: Work closely with the practice manager, clinical team leader and fellow team leaders to improve service delivery, meet demand, and drive organisational success.
- Promote a positive culture: Build a connected and supportive team environment, sharing knowledge, successes, and participate in lunch time antics
- Grow your skills: Continue to build your clinical skills with your own caseload. This may involve assessment, individual and group service delivery, school visits and report writing.
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) or equivalent with 8+ years' experience in paediatrics.
- Proven leadership and management experience.
- Eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Eligible for Medicare registration.
- Ability to work independently and seek support where necessary.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Current driver's license and own car.
- Working with Children's Check and police check.
- Passion for working with children and families and having fun
