With 20 centres currently and a strategic plan to expand to over 50 centres in the next 2-3 years, a brand-new role has been created for an Accounts Allrounder to work closely with the Head of Finance and a high performing finance team. ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to an extremely high performing and influential Head of Finance, this Accounts Allrounder will support the delivery of major finance objectives as the organisation aims to continue its growth journey. The newly created Accounts Allrounder is a highly visible and crucial role.
The purpose of this role is to assist the Head of Finance and broader finance function to develop and adopt the best financial practices to achieve the Company's strategic objectives. In this highly autonomous and empowering role you will act as an "in-house" advisor on financial matters across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general accounting. The ability to communicate effectively with non-finance minded people is going to be crucial for the success of this role. This is a critical role to assist in driving the business through its next period of growth and positioning the business as a leader in the agricultural industry whilst implementing best practice governance throughout the finance function.
The role is an exciting opportunity and requires someone with a passion for accounting along with a commercially sound mindset that is always looking to drive business performance. The main function of this role is to take ownership of and deliver proactive, efficient and insightful reporting. You will be required to prepare consistent and accurate financial reports, whilst continuously looking to improve financial controls and stewardship across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. A key component of this role is to provide cross functional central support to the finance team as well as to the broader operational teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Head of Finance and working in partnership with the finance team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of timely monthly and quarterly reporting;
- Accurate preparation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations in line with reporting timelines;
- Work and engage with cross boarder teams;
- Preparing weekly KPI reporting dashboards;
- Fleet and asset management including general insurance vehicle renewals;
- Accounts Payable (Overall responsibility for Invoicing, Credit Notes, Reconciliations);
- Accounts Receivable and Creditor management (payment allocations, reconciliations; processing of payments from customers);
- Liaise with clients in a professional manner, responding to account queries and credit requests;
- Work closely with Sales and any other stakeholders to manage the debtors' ledgers and potential issues;
- Bank reconciliations, cash management and forecasts;
- Assist with monthly tax compliance;
- Ensure GST treatment of customer/supplier invoices is correct;
- Support the year-end audit process;
- Review the aged debtors report on a regular basis and investigate items that may require correction;
- Report to the Finance Manager on any accounts or invoices that are of concern;
- Prepare the monthly report of aged debtors;
- Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data;
- Identify efficiencies and value through business process re-engineering;
- Ad-hoc project work to assist the business with making informed decisions;
- Prepare ad hoc reports as required;
- General administrative support.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
As an organisation, our client is flexible and look for candidates with the right attitude. The ideal candidate is either an experienced Accounts Allrounder with experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
You will ideally possess experience with financial systems such as Netsuite and intermediate excel skills (ability to do v-look ups, sum ifs etc). You feel confident liaising with all levels of management and are self motivated, an excellent communicator and enjoy being a team player.
