About the role

We're seeking an experienced and proactive Fleet Manager to take ownership of our vehicle fleet operations, ensuring every vehicle is safe, compliant and ready to serve the community.

This is a 3-day-per-week position—perfect for an experienced fleet or transport professional looking for flexibility while still playing a vital role in a purpose-driven organisation. If you are looking for full-time work, this can be accommodated as a driver or in dispatch and scheduling.

You'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of our vehicle fleet—including maintenance, compliance, procurement, reporting, driver coordination, and sustainability initiatives. Working closely with the CEO and Operations team, you'll help ensure smooth and safe transport delivery across our community, NDIS and social outing programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of fleet maintenance, safety, and compliance.
  • Oversee servicing schedules, insurance, registrations, and record-keeping.
  • Support and train drivers and volunteers in safe vehicle operation.
  • Plan and coordinate vehicle allocations for daily operations and outings.
  • Manage budgets, monitor costs, and implement efficiency strategies.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives such as electric or hybrid vehicle trials.
  • Handle incident reporting and liaise with insurers and repairers.
About You
  • Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or transport operations (community, NDIS, or aged-care sector preferred).
  • Sound understanding of vehicle safety, maintenance, and compliance standards.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control.
  • Confident communicator who builds rapport with drivers, volunteers, and management.
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of fleet management systems and reporting tools.
