Remuneration is negotiable in line with qualifications and experience

The Job:


• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on a variety of earthmoving equipment, including dump trucks, excavators, loaders, and graders.


• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.


• Perform compliance inspections and compete inspection sheets


• Perform welding and fabrication as required


• Complete detailed digital records including work orders, time records, parts and consumables


• Provide detailed service reports including photos


• Collaborate with the broader maintenance team and Workshop Manager to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow.


• Adhere to safety protocols at all times.


• Assist with breakdowns in the field (as required)

About you:

You will bring;


• Trade qualification in a Diesel Mechanic discipline.


• Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably with a focus on earthmoving equipment.


• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.


• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and troubleshooting techniques.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.


• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
