About the role

Auswide Transport Solutions is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Kewdale, Western Australia. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring they are operating at peak performance and safety standards.

What you'll be doing

  1. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and other heavy vehicle components
  2. Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues
  4. Maintain detailed records of all work completed
  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
  6. Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of jobs

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic
  2. Trade qualification in Automotive Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
  3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  4. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  5. Experience working with a variety of heavy vehicle makes and models
  6. Current driver's licence and ability to operate a range of heavy vehicles
  7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
