About the role  

We are looking to hire 2x permanent Vineyard Operators to join our McLaren Vale Vineyards team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of growing super-premium fruit for some of our most loved Penfolds wines.  

This is a role that will open a world of future work opportunities with a global wine and viticulture business, whilst being a stone's throw outside of Adelaide. Get the best of both worlds, the day-to-day country feel with great proximity to the city  

Your day-to-day will consist of:

• Conduct tractor and machinery operations which includes pruning, harvesting, spraying, mowing, mulching and trimming.  
• Perform irrigation system repairs and operation.
• Undertake basic preventative maintenance tasks and engage in hands-on vineyard work such as property maintenance and trellising.
• Adhere to high safety and quality standards.

About you

Successful applicants will naturally take pride in their work, be motivated to learn new skills, throw themselves into being one of the team, have a good eye for detail and an overall positive attitude.  

• 1-2x years minimum Vineyard Operator or agricultural worker experience  
• Forklift License and tractor work experience is great to have
• Current and unrestricted drivers license
• Safety focused with an eye for detail
• A reliable and engaged team player
• Able to perform manual handling work (a pre-employment medical check will be part of the recruitment process).
