A globally recognised and respected brand in the digital marketing space, Constant Contact offers powerful online marketing tools, contact management and sales functionality, and innovative AI capabilities, to help businesses to attract and engage the right customers, close more deals and grow.
The Asia Pacific team is on the hunt for a Sales Manager to lead and expand our sales engine in this critical region, establishing the foundation for sustainable growth with a particular focus on Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Brisbane, Australia, this is a unique opportunity to build a high performance culture from the ground up, driving growth across two distinct and vital sales motions: high-velocity direct sales to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and strategic channel sales through our network of mid-market target accounts.
Reporting to the Vice President - APAC, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and motivating a diverse team of sales professionals to achieve ambitious revenue targets, establish a strong market presence, and define the future of Constant Contact in the region.
What You'll Do:
- Lead a Hybrid Sales Team:
Manage, coach, and inspire a growing team that includes Inside Sales Consultants, Account Executives and an SDR. - Drive Revenue Growth:
Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets across both the direct SMB and mid-market/enterprise businesses. Total accountability and ownership of regional pipeline. - Develop Tailored Coaching Strategies:
Implement distinct and effective coaching and development plans for each sales motion, recognising the unique skills and sales cycles required for both one-call-close environments and long-term partner relationship building including ABM. - Build the Playbook:
As a key leader in a growing market, you will have access to the best practices from other regions, paired with the autonomy to design, implement, and refine the sales strategies, processes, and playbooks for the APAC region to effectively scale and sell. - Lead from the Front as a Player-Coach:
Directly engage in the sales cycle by taking customer calls, modelling best-in-class sales behaviours, and personally driving high-stakes opportunities to secure key wins for the region. - Champion a Data-Driven Culture:
Monitor, analyse, and report on key performance metrics for both teams, using data to identify trends, forecast accurately, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership. - Build a High-Performing Team Environment:
Cultivate a high-energy, collaborative, and results-oriented team environment where performance is celebrated, and professional development is a top priority. - Serve as a Market Expert:
Act as the voice of the APAC market, collaborating with cross-functional teams locally and in HQ to ensure our go-to-market strategy is aligned with regional customer needs.
Requirements:
- Experience
: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in a SaaS or software-based sales environment; experience in MarTech or eCommerce is a significant advantage. Prior experience in a franchise or multi-listing environment with a strong existing network is preferred. - Proven Track Record
: Demonstrated success in a sales leadership role, with a track record of successfully managing and scaling sales teams in a SaaS or technology environment. Thrives in a competitive, fast-paced environment. - Skillset
: Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to support the closure of high-value deals. Hands-on experience in both direct, high-velocity sales and indirect, account-based sales motions. - Successful Coach:
A passionate and adaptable coach who can mentor salespeople with different skill sets, from transactional closers to strategic relationship builders. Energetic, positive, and hands-on leader. - Data-Driven:
Highly analytical and process-oriented, with experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM to manage pipelines, track performance, and make data-informed decisions. - Regional Knowledge
: Familiarity with the APAC market and its business landscape. - Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Why You'll Love Us:
- Benefits:
A competitive salary with uncapped earning potential, plus a flexible work environment (3 days in our Fortitude Valley office required), private health insurance cover, paid parental leave, and quarterly volunteering days. - Make a Foundational Impact:
This isn't a "business as usual" role. You'll be building the sales leadership foundation for an entire region, with the autonomy to shape strategy and make a tangible impact on our global growth story. - We Value Growth and Development:
We're passionate about your professional development and will provide the coaching, resources, and opportunities you need to succeed and advance in your career. - We Help Businesses Thrive:
