About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to support our accounting team with day-to-day financial tasks. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, and experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or HandiLedger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing
  • Prepare bank and account reconciliations
  • Execute the preparation of Tax Returns, BAS, IAS, and other compliance lodgements
  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reporting tasks
  • Data entry and documentation filing
  • Liaise with clients and respond to basic accounting queries
  • Support senior accountants as required

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or working towards)
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, or HandiLedger
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
