About the Role

Based at our Moonah Head Office and reporting to the Group Manager, Legal and Compliance, the Internal Audit Lead will strengthen Blundstone's governance and compliance frameworks by developing and delivering on a risk-based audit program.

This role supports both ISO 9001 Quality Management and the development of an ISO 14001-certified Environmental Management System by coordinating and conducting audits, maintaining schedules, and driving continuous improvement across operational and strategic areas.

Collaboration with teams locally and internationally is key to embedding robust systems that support regulatory compliance, sustainability, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit program, integrating ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Conduct audits across operational and strategic areas, prioritising high-risk zones.
  • Maintain audit schedules and ensure alignment with certification timelines.
  • Identify and report system gaps, internal control weaknesses, non-conformances, and improvement opportunities. Engage with business units to ensure root cause analysis is undertaken and corrective actions are defined and tracked to completion.
  • Support the operationalisation of management systems and liaise with external auditors.
  • Coordinate auditor training and contribute to projects that enhance governance and assurance.

About You

You're a collaborative audit professional with experience in risk-based auditing and ISO management systems. You bring:

  • Qualifications or experience in risk management, auditing, or related fields.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and governance best practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods is highly regarded.
