Job Reference: 18047

Why You Will Be Excited About This Role

At Healius, we all have one thing in common, we are passionate about making a difference to the health of Australians. And right now, it's a pretty exciting time to join us, as we transform into a stronger, more agile organisation focused on creating excellent customer & patient experiences, smarter ways of working and building a great place to work.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role where your expertise in healthcare sales and strategic account management will directly shape the future of Healius' specialist and hospital partnerships. You'll lead national initiatives that strengthen relationships with key players in private healthcare, delivering solutions that enhance patient outcomes across Australia.

You'll work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and other senior leaders, giving you a seat at the table where commercial strategy is shaped and executed. Your ability to influence, innovate, and lead will be key to driving meaningful change, not just within Healius, but across the broader healthcare landscape.

If you're looking for a role where you can make a real impact, lead with purpose, and be part of an organisation that's evolving for the better, this is it

About Us

Healius employs 10,000+ passionate people, with an expansive network of over 100 medical laboratories and 2000 patient collection centres operating across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. We provide 1 in every 3 pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia's largest and most complex private and public hospitals, to small Indigenous Australian communities. This means that you will be working with purpose whilst being a part of a business big enough to offer interstate mobility, job security and opportunities to fulfill your career ambitions.

What You Will Be Doing

As National Specialist and Hospital Manager, you'll lead Healius' specialist and hospital strategy across Australia with a focus on growth, retention and market development. You'll manage and develop a national team of Business Development and Key Account Managers, ensuring they are supported, high-performing, and aligned with the company's commercial objectives.

You'll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across private hospitals, day surgeries, health insurers, and specialist medical groups. This includes leading strategic negotiations, overseeing account planning and acting as executive sponsor for major clients.

Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer and the executive leadership team, you'll shape national campaigns, identify growth opportunities, and ensure the delivery of tailored, value-based solutions that set Healius apart. You'll leverage CRM tools and performance data to guide decisions, improve efficiency, and support continuous improvement across the team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and coach a high-performing national sales and account management team
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key hospital and specialist stakeholders
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic engagement and solution delivery
  • Oversee retention strategies and ensure service delivery meets client expectations
  • Execute national initiatives and campaigns aligned to commercial priorities
  • Monitor KPIs and team performance, using data to guide decisions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and operational readiness
  • Promote efficiency and continuous improvement through data-driven practices and CRM tools
