Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for a highly ambitious Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to lead and oversee electrical and instrumentation aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed to a high standard, within budget and on schedule for a major capital works program in Laverton, Victoria.

The key objectives for this role are:
- Leads the design, development, and implementation of electrical and instrumentation systems, including schematics, drawings, and diagrams
- Develops and implements electrical and instrumentation designs, ensuring they meet project requirements and industry standards
- Leads and guides a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Applies advanced engineering principles to solve complex technical issues, conducting research, and developing innovative solutions
- Interacts with clients, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to ensure project requirements are met and to communicate project progress
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards
- Contributes to design review workshops and quality checks
- Foster a culture of safe delivery, continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration

- Minimum 7 years direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF)
- Demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all aspects of electrical and instrumentation engineering and design
- Proven experience of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals / agricultural sectors
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
- Bachelor's degree in electrical and/or mechatronics engineering (or related field)
- Must be available to work onsite in Laverton, Victoria
