Electrical Field Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team in Laverton. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical equipment and systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues on engines and generators up to 3350KVA.
  • Modify wiring looms and diagrams as required.
  • Commission new generators, transfer switches and master controllers.
  • Work closely with the Mechanical Service team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure all work is completed with a high focus on safety.

Requirements:

  • A trade qualification in electrical engineering.
  • A current electrical license or contractor's license.
  • Previous experience in an industrial factory as a senior or sole electrician.
  • An in-depth understanding of control systems, including PLC and relay logic.
  • The ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
  • A current, valid driver's license.
