Electrical Power Generation Technician

Be part of a dynamic team and take on the challenge of working with electrical power generation systems.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Technician to join our field service team in Laverton. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on generator sets and engine control panels, scheduled and unscheduled service works.

The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics on engines/generators up to 3350KVA, modifying wiring looms/diagrams, commissioning of new generators/systems, transfer switches and master controllers.

As an Electrical Power Generation Technician, you will be responsible for completing all work with a high focus on safety and participating in an after-hours on-call roster.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Trade qualified electrician qualifications
  • Current Electrical Licence and/or Electrical contractor's license
  • Previous industrial experience as a senior or sole electrician
  • In-depth understanding of control systems (including PLC and relay logic)
  • Able to interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong PC skills
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
  • A current, valid driver's license
