Electrical Power Generation Expert

We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team as a Field Service Technician in the area of electrical power generation.

  • Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work on generator sets and engine control panels, performing scheduled and unscheduled service tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose engines/generators up to 3350KVA.
  • Modify wiring looms and diagrams.
  • Commission new generators/systems, transfer switches, and master controllers.
  • Collaborate with the Mechanical Service team.
  • Foster a culture of safety throughout all work activities.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • A current Electrical Licence and/or Electrical contractor's license.
  • Prior industrial experience as a senior or sole electrician in an industrial factory setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of control systems, including PLC and relay logic.
  • The ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills.
  • A current, valid driver's license.
  • Previous experience in Power Generation products is highly regarded but not essential.

This role involves working on generator sets and engine control panels, troubleshooting and diagnostics on engines/generators up to 3350KVA, modifying wiring looms/diagrams, commissioning of new generators/systems, transfer switches and master controllers, and collaborating with the Mechanical Service team.
