Hornsby Dental | Cosmetique Dental Group seek an excellent practice manager to join our middle management team. As a Dental Practice Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring a dental practice's smooth and efficient operation. You will oversee various aspects of the practice, including administrative, financial, and operational functions. Your primary goal will be to create a positive patient experience while maintaining a well-organised and productive practice environment.

About the role

Administrative Management:

  • Oversee daily administrative tasks, such as appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and record keeping.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and maintain a consistent patient experience.
  • Supervise the front desk staff, dental assistants, and other administrative personnel.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the practice's financial operations, including petty cash handling and banking.
  • Completing tracking reports to assess practice performance and identify areas for improvement.

Human Resources:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, including dental assistants and receptionists.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any staffing-related concerns.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Optimise appointment scheduling to maximise productivity and minimise patient wait times.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment for dental procedures.
  • Coordinate with dental labs and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to maintain a seamless patient flow.

Patient Experience:

  • Oversee the patient care experience to ensure exceptional service and patient satisfaction.
  • Address patient concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Implement strategies to enhance patient communication, education, and engagement.
  • Maintain a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in the practice.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay current with regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure the practice's adherence to all relevant laws and regulations, including infection control standards.
  • Prepare for and facilitate inspections or audits as required by relevant regulatory bodies.

About you

  • Previous experience in dental practice management or healthcare administration is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and willing to learn attitudes;
  • A proven track record of punctuality and reliability;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent and demonstrated ability in team management / Human Resources;
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • An enthusiastic self-starter with a can-do attitude and a good problem solver;
  • Innovative and proactive, with solid time management skills and able to multitask
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
