The Australian War Memorial combines a shrine, a world-class museum, and an extensive archive. The Memorial's purpose is to commemorate the sacrifice of those Australians who have died in war. Its mission is to assist Australians to remember, interpret and understand the Australian experience of war and its enduring impact on Australian society. The hospitality offerings include a mix of restaurant, café and events.

Amazing Opportunity

Trippas White Group is focused on delivering an exceptional experience and therefore needs outstanding Café staff/baristas, to join The Australian War Memorial Café team. The Café staff/baristas will be responsible for assisting with the provision of café service, cash handling, customer service and great coffee making skills.

Full-time, part-time and casual roles available.

You

  • Minimum 1 year of Barista experience required
  • Strong eye for detail and food presentation skills
  • Be able to successfully make excellent coffee
  • Knowledge of cold press, aero press and all emerging coffee trends
  • Can work unsupervised at times as well as be part of a team
  • Be able to put as much pride and passion into a simple sandwich as a bespoke special events menu
  • Flexible and willing attitude, strong written communication and customer service skills
  • Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation that is translated the way your kitchen and team presents
  • A working understanding of Food safety Standards, experience of HACCP would be advantageous
  • Current RSA Certificate is essential
