The Department of the House of Representatives is seeking applications from motivated and detail oriented applicants to directly support the work of the House of Representatives and members of Parliament at Parliament House in Canberra.

This is an ongoing role situated within People Strategies Office. The People Strategies Office is responsible for providing efficient and effective human resources advice and services to support the Department of the House of Representatives. The Office provides advice and support to management and staff on policies and procedures. It also provides payroll services (for both departmental staff and Members of Parliament); administration of training and development; health, safety and rehabilitation case management; performance and conduct advice; employment relations and broad human resource initiatives.

About the role

As a Recruitment Adviser within the People Strategies team, you'll be at the heart of purpose-driven environment, supporting a wide range of recruitment activities that make a real difference. You'll be the go-to expert ensuring every step of the recruitment process is smooth, strategic, and compliant. You'll also lead the charge in delivering a standout onboarding experience, preparing contracts and welcoming new employees with professionalism and warmth. Your work will directly contribute to a positive and memorable candidate journey.

You will be based at the iconic Parliament House in Canberra, where you will work in a collaborative, high-impact team making a meaningful contribution to public service excellence.
