About the role

Hyde Parade Family Practice is seeking a skilled and patient-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis at our practice located in Campbelltown, NSW 2560. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative and customer service support to our patients and healthcare providers.

Please only apply if you are available to work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 10 am - 2 pm. And also be available on call.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice
  • Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments, including managing wait lists and rescheduling as needed
  • Handling patient inquiries and providing information about the practice, services, and policies
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical history
  • Assisting with the coordination of patient documentation and liaising with other healthcare providers
  • Performing general administrative duties, such as filing, medical billing, photocopying, and data entry
  • Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable at all times

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a medical reception or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in using medical practice management software and common office software (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations
  • A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a desire to contribute to the well-being of our patients
