Lachlan Shire Council have an exciting opportunity for a
Trainee Business Administration Officer

This position is a
Full-time 2 year traineeship.

This position is responsible for assisting the Human Resources function of Council to administer Human Resources services to all Council's customers in the areas of recruitment, training, Work Health and Safety (WHS) and performance management. This position also assists other areas of Council with administrative support when available.

To be successful you will need:

  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently liaise with people

  • Good communication skills both written and oral

  • The ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality in a political environment

  • Good organisational and planning skills

  • Sound skills using Microsoft Office Software - Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Sound understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity & Work Health and Safety requirements

Benefits for you:

  • The salary range is $1,832.69 to $2,265.94 per fortnight

  • Starting salary to be determined upon the qualifications and experience of successful applicant.

  • The Grade applicable to the position is T4 - T6 under the Local Government (State) Award 2023

  • Working 76 hours per fortnight with a rostered day off (9 Day fortnight)

  • Professional Development opportunities are available

  • Employer Superannuation of 12%

  • Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award
